Third graders are learning to identify and perform the ostinato – a short musical pattern that repeats.  As part of this unit they have been listening to Berceuse (lullaby) from “The Firebird” by Stravinsky.  Listen to how the ostinato is used to lull the characters in the ballet to sleep.
