December 2016 – grade 4

In grade 4 the students study harmony – music with two or more different parts performed simultaneously.  In addition to learning to sing and play in harmony they also listen to examples of different types of harmony.  In December and January they will be listening to Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” and identifying the ways harmony is used in the most famous piece of choral music ever written.
